Saturday afternoon: Bucolic walk along the Bay of the Mont-Saint-Michel

After lunch, you will go to the tiny village of Genêts. There, you will have a perfect view of the bay of the Mont-Saint-Michel, surrounded by wild and colorful nature. You will spend your time either by walking along the bay or meeting local artists.

Depending on the season and the weather, you might be able to get closer to the famous sheeps of the Mont-Saint-Michel. Nearby here, you will stop at Bec d’Andaine, a beautiful place recommended by locals. In fact, in front of you, you will have the Mont-Saint-Michel, with nobody around, only birdsongs.

Saturday at 5pm: Guided crossing of the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel

Starting from 4-5pm, tourists start to leave the Mont-Saint-Michel so it is a perfect time to come and visit its cobbled streets and fortifications. At 5pm, you will cross its bay with a professional guide.

You will walk through quicksand, learn more about its unique ecosystem and the history of the pilgrims. Crossing the bay of Mont-Saint-Michel gives you a spectacular view of the marvel.

During the crossing, your guide will take you to the Mont-Tomblaine and share with you the History and Legends of this exceptional heritage.

He will also explain you how tides appear and he will give you an overview of the local fauna and flora. Hundreds of preserved birds live there. You might see seagulls, egrets and other migratory birds.

Saturday night: Unforgettable night inside the Mont-Saint-Michel

After a 3h walk, you will arrive at the Mont-Saint-Michel. At nightfall, you will have an intimate experience of the atmosphere. You will discover shiny and cobbled streets, quiet fortifications and be somewhere you have never been before.

You will enjoy a traditional dinner in the most famous restaurant of Mont-Saint-Michel, where La Mère Poulard, the well-known cook of France used to serve an « omelette soufflée » to the ancient pilgrims. Nowadays, the restaurant is visited by celebrities of the world. Would you recognize Woody Allen, Ernest Hemingway, or influential politicians in the pictures?

After dinner, you will spend your night inside Mont-Saint-Michel. We selected for you a charming and authentic room.

Sunday morning: Abbey of Mont-Saint-Michel

After a generous breakfast, you will climb 80m and enter the stunning Abbey of Mont-Saint-Michel. Inside, you will cross more than 20 rooms where granite vaults, fireplaces made of stones and old architecture take place. You will get closer to the golden archangel and enjoy an overhanging view of the Mont-Saint-Michel, from the top of it.

After your visit, you will go down and follow the rampart walk. We advise you to spend some time in the small gardens and observe seagulls.
